Dance Classes, Drama Classes & Music Lessons in Portsmouth

Dance classes are a fantastic way to build confidence, co-ordination and balance. We offer dance classes in our Portsmouth based Dance School in classical ballet, tap, modern, jazz and hip hop. We are also specialists in boys ballet, which is taught by Richard Slaughter formerly of The Royal Ballet Company.

We have dance classes for all ages, starting with a toddler music and dance class through to classical and performance ballet, suitable for those students preparing for auditions to dance colleges. We also offer tap classes, jazz and hip-hop.

Our adult dance classes in Portsmouth are also very popular and enjoyable, we offer adult ballet lessons, adult tap lessons and adult jazz lessons.

Drama classes are fun, energetic and great for making new friends and building confidence. We offer drama classes for children aged four plus, they are grouped according to age where our four to six year olds enjoy a fun introduction to acting, our juniors explore the dramatic arts through games, exercises and improvisation, whilst our seniors cover various media from improvisation through to live performance.

Here at Giselle Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts we are passionate about nurturing the many talents of young people, if you are aged 16 – 25 years and you are a drama or musical theatre student, our Advanced Musical Theatre class is ideal for extra-curricular experience.

Love singing and dancing? Join our Glee Club, we teach great Glee songs and put fantastic dance routines to them.

Learning to play a musical instrument can be a rewarding experience. Here at Giselle Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts we offer piano lessons, singing lessons and a variety of guitar lessons from rock to classical, acoustic or electric both for children and adults.

Our piano lessons are taught on an individual basis and are designed to encourage and inspire children to play. Singing lessons are taught either on an individual or group singing lesson basis, they are available to both children and adults.

If you love dance and have a passion for teaching, our dance centre can provide the courses you need to become a qualified dance teacher.

Giselle Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts is an ISTD Approved Dance Centre, offering professional dance teacher training.

Students will have the opportunity to observe and teach as well as the support of professional, registered tutors and guest teachers.

The Dance teacher courses offered are Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction, Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance.
